DESCRIPTION:Co-creating a working habitat\nwith Jurij Konjar (SLO) \nThis workshop will shift between two approaches. One\, through a series of guided exercises we’ll feed sensation to our starving bodies – hungry for movement\, interaction\, stimulus\, touch\, for that sensation of being alive because we are moving. Once our bodies will fell like they are vibrating softly\, we’ll observe the difference between states of doing/working and being/not-working. We’ll expand our working space to our lives outside-the-studio\, observing the states of attentiveness\, sensing and action.\nArmed with all this\, we’ll re-visit what we know best: our routines\, exercises\, daily actions. We’ll “see” what they are and what else they could be. As a group we’ll test the borders of what “working together” and “support of the group” could mean.  \nJurij Konjar est né à Ljubljana\, où il reçoit sa formation technique en danse.\nIl étudie le musical à Londres et la danse contemporaine à PARTS\, Bruxelles.\nIl travaille en tant que danseur avec Les Ballets C de La B\, puis commence à développer son propre travail.\nEn 2007\, il est victime d’une blessure à la tête qui déplace son attention à l’endroit de ce qui arrive dans l’instant. En 2009\, l’observation approfondie de la vidéo des Variations Goldberg de Steve Paxton marque le début d’une pratique continue et soutenue de l’improvisation.\nAu cours des dernières années\, il a principalement créé et dansé en solo des performances\, comme Ulysses (2007)\, Variations Goldberg (2010)\, Pour Juliano Mer-Khamis (2013) et le duo Still (2014). DESCRIPTION:REAL TIME COMPOSITION WORKSHOP\nwith João Fiadeiro  \nBecoming thing. Becoming duration. Becoming event.\nTo be occupied by a body. Being occupied with a body.\nDisappear in the obvious. (Re)appearing in the absence. \nReal Time Composition practice offers a set of concepts-tools that allows the practitioner to postpone the answer and prolong a “not knowing” quality\, enabling a precise and clear formulation of the questions which are carry by artists and improvisers. The condition for this practice to be successful is directly connected with the ability we have to develop and strengthen the capacity to inhibit reflex actions. The reason is simple: being “time” the most precious asset we possess when confronted with the unknown\, if we act reflexively\, on impulse\, without taking into account the situation but solely our personal needs and points of view\, the (distended\, suspended\, increased) time span every situation offer us\, decreases dramatically. Without this (real) time\, there is no duration. And without duration there is no relation\, the most important ingredient when composing. \nJoão Fiadeiro\, Portugal (1965) belongs to the generation of choreographers that emerged towards the end of the 1980s and gave rise to the Nova Dança Portuguesa. A large part of his training was carried out between Lisbon\, NYC and Berlin where Contact Improvisation played a central role in the beginning of his career. In 1990 he founded the Atelier RE.AL Company that supported the creation and diffusion of many choreographers besides his own work\, regularly presented in Europe\, North and South America. Between 1995 and 2003 he collaborated intensely with the Portuguese theatre company Artistas Unidos where he staged plays by Samuel Beckett\, Sarah Kane and Jon Fosse. Between 2008 and 2014 he co-directed with anthropologist Fernanda Eugenio the AND Lab\, a research laboratory around sustainable coexistence\, working on the relation between ethics\, aesthetics and politics. In 2014\, after a 6 year hiatus\, João comes back to his choreographic work trough the re-enactment of some of his early solos and the creation of a new group piece called “What to do with what remains”. Real Time Composition has lead him to coordinate workshops in MA and PhDs programs in several schools and universities such as Forum Dança (Lisbon); ex.e.r.ce (Montpellier); SODA MA (Berlin)\, MA of Performance Studies (Hamburg); MA of Choreography and Theatre-DasArts (Amsterdam); MA in choreography at the University of the Arts (Helsinki); or the Máster en Práctica Escénica y Cultura Visual (Madrid).\nHe is currently attending a PhD degree in Contemporary Art at the University of Coimbra\, Portugal. \nWhom:\nThis workshop is addressed to any performer artist coming from dance\, theater or performance\, with experience with improvisation and composition technics.  \nWhen:\nOctober 23.-27 2019. DESCRIPTION:CI WS Stuttgart\, Germany\nwith Dani-Ecki \nTHE ART OF SHARING WEIGHTLESS WEIGHT \nIn this workshop we investigate the relation of our body to the “UP” and the “DOWN”\, in stillness and movement. We explore the bone’s system\, its three dimensionality and its relationship to gravity\, finding the alignment of each situation.\nWe investigate the use of the floor\, the architecture of the bodies and the internal/external space\, as well as the use of the breath as a tool for active release to happen.\nIntegrating these principles supports us to be in the present moment\, through listening to our bodies moving together between earth and sky.\nThe objective is to share tools to find ease\, lightness and freedom in the dance and comfort as mobile under dancer/over dancer\, while we modulate the weight and tone of our body to open possible ways to relate to someone else.
